Movie Review: Bhoot and Friends Four young friends fall into an adventure in the middle of summer holidays. A lost treasure needs to be found, and they are the only ones who can do the deed. Or so decrees a friendly ghost who lives in the forest near the village they’ve come to visit.

This is the kind of story that’s always been told, and will always be in currency. Because kids will always be kids, and they will always go during summer hols to places surrounded by dark woods, which may just have a ghostly inhabitant. But ‘Bhoot and Friends’ takes all the joy out of an evergreen `nani-dadi-ki-kahani’ by its hackneyed treatment and absurd plot points.

The baddie goes by the name of Gora Sahib, who, we are told is a descendant of a British soldier, who’s after the treasure his grandfather had failed to find. This Gora Sahib has the kind of evil laugh that villains in old Hindi films used to exhibit when they were in their dens about to torture innocents.
